Title: Roosters Flukin 5-24
Post by: Peterooster on May 24, 2015, 06:56:37 PM
Wind predicted was WSW 5-10, in reality it blew hard from NW. Tom and I made our way to the Fluke grounds hoping the conditions would improve, they did not, until noon. There were the usual short Fluke at the Coast Guard Ledge, the pound nets and around to the outside and down the beach as far as the Nude Beach.Using Glup and not much else the ocean produced shorts and Sun Dials were many, with a few Sea Robins in the mix.The ocean seemed quite cold, while the bay seemed warmer. As a plus there were no yellow-eyed demons about. On the way in we encountered an ocean Sunfish in the middle of Sandy Hook Bay. There were no keepers for us today.  Pete
