FISHERMEN/Tuesdays Fishing Report....
« on: September 10, 2013, 05:54:24 PM »
I can only describe today's fishing in one word, "PAINFUL".
From the crap conditions, to no conditions, a nasty roll, the wind changing direction several times and so on. Covered a whole bunch of miles looking for the bite that didn't happen. Fished everywhere we have been catching to only find a hand full of fish and not much life, some shorts, sea bass and a few keepers.
Had my NJSALTWATERFISHERMEN crew out today and I'm sure after all the great reports and pics, they were physicked to catch some fish. Sorry guys.
For the gentlemen who was telling his friend on the phone "This was the worst trip I have ever been on" I certainly feel your pain, Now, times that by 40 and that's how I feel after today. When they bite, hero, when they don't BUM. You can't say it was lack of effort for sure.:)

Back at it tomorrow.
Capt. Ron

Thanks for your always honest report Captain Ron.  t^ That is why it is called fishing, not catching.  No one could ever say it is a lack of effort on your part. slt

Did you check the NJSWF crew for bananas?  hhppy

You definitely tried capt. When fishing feels like work the bites just not happening.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I was on the trip today, and I can say that is 100% correct.  Captain Ron covered a lot of ground and gave it his best.

It just wasn't our day.

Still, I had a fun day out on the water with a great bunch of folks.  Thanks Trish and Big Al for making it happen. t^

Was thinking about it on the ride home. Didnt matter what color bait was used, squid, killies, spearing, bucktail, or orange peel. But we all kept our swivels.
The secret to catching fish is, to fish, where the fish are.
