Title: LBI Area-Any bunker around?
Post by: striper sniper on May 20, 2009, 12:27:09 PM
Hello all,

We are taking our first trip of the season tomorrow morning out of Barnegat Inlet in search of bass.

Was hoping to hear if there are any bunker schools hanging around?

Thanks,

D.

Not sure about the bunker schools but the bass are killing the clams and plugs lately.  All my incoming reports have been off IBSP with a bass over 40 lbs which BTW was caught on a plug.  I would have to say early morning if I know the pattern of the angler.

The schools have been in and out so it is a hit or miss, but I don't think you could go wrong if you break the inlet and go north close to the beach.

Happy Catching

Paul

Paul,

I really appreciate your input.  It gives us a boost of confidence and excitement for the morning.  I will be sure to take pictures!
