Title: IBSP 7/1
Post by: Takes Prizoners on July 01, 2017, 07:00:26 PM
IT WAS F&^%$NG CLOSED..........Got on the road at 330(before all the electronic message signs warned everyone the state parks were all closed). . Down there getting bait at 430. 1st thing the guy tells us, "park is closed". Fu&*%ng government. Plan B, hit the beach down the street. 1st footprints of the morning.  Had 2 dogfish early and moved on at 7am.  Found some breakfast while figuring out Plan C. Plan C consisted of hitting a couple of spots around Lavallette.......Proceed to Plan D. I wanted to look at a boat in LBI so on the parkway we got and headed south. Also wanted to see if we could get on the inlet jetty with the closure...... Plan D (revision 1), find a damn rental boat and fish it. No access to the jetty so down the street we went and rented a skiff. Played around for a few hours around Sea Dog Island. Friend had 1 short and a few more bites. Made a move out towards Sedge Islands. Friend had 2 skates while I worked on my sunburn. Never did hear back from the guy with the boat but made it home just before the rain hit.
