Title: Sea Girt Reef Sea Bass
Post by: djtdmd on October 12, 2009, 12:31:00 AM
Out for the afternoon, drifted on the South tip of the SG reef and got some sea bass on clams and squid, and 1 porgy. They loved the clams! We decided to anchor as the drift was getting fast, and the bite slowed. Anchored above a wreck, has few more. Went to bring up the anchor, but could not break off. Any tips on how to dislodge the anchor? slow in reverse? How do you know when to stop and cut the line, like I did today? That part of the trip sucked, but it really was a beautiful day.

Nice day, minus the anchor!
