Post by: kezsr on September 01, 2007, 07:49:46 AM
got a late start, launched at Sayreville, fishing by 11:30,made first drift area around Ward Point Secondary channel, first fish on I hooked a nice 20 incher, took a killie and squid strip.we had some good action in this area for awhile,Fishing partner Dave getting one that missed by an 1/8th of a inch.picked 4 or 5 shorts here then moved up farther just off the Reach channel, more shorts but also able to bring in an 18 incher.moved around this same area for a while and one more keeper just over the 17 mark.around 2:30 moved over by Keyport,Dave managed one short, stayed in one drift for awhile and then moved back to area in front of Raritan light house, picked a couple shorts and headed in at 4:15.had a good drift all day.only 3 in the box,but still a good day on the water.
