Axel Carlson Fluking 7/24
« on: July 25, 2010, 10:36:20 AM »
Fished on my buddies boat yesterday out of Manasquan river.  Hit the Axel Carlson and after poking around a bit found a pocket of fluke.   Ended up with 5 keepers, nothing big, but big enough. They seemed to bite best on fresh meat, long and thin sea robin strips. It was a little choppy but once we settled in and got out drift mojo down it was a comfortable day. On the way in about a mile from the beach you could feel that wall of heat hit you. Much nicer on the water.
