Title: Can you believe this after we supposedly overharvested
Post by: sealife on December 07, 2013, 09:06:13 AM
On November 27, 2013, the 2013 commercial summer flounder fishery in New Jersey was closed prematurely. We have determined that New Jersey still has 2013 quota available for harvest. Therefore, effective December 6, 2013, fishing vessels issued a Federal moratorium permit for the summer flounder fishery may land summer flounder in New Jersey until the quota is fully harvested. Vessels are subject to the possession limits set in the state in which the vessel is landing.

Now sailing daily for Fluke!
This is for the commercial fishery only.
Im sure they will find a way to say the Rec Quota was overharvested.
