Trying to get back into the swing of things
« on: January 24, 2012, 09:28:59 AM »
After recently acquiring some new toolage for the shop, and having Chris over last week to work on the lathe, I'm getting some motivation to start trying my hand at some plugs again.  Here's a few I turned last night, and a video of me turning a pencil popper.  Yes, I should have rolled up my sleeves.   :P

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Jason, Nice video and nice job on the popper. At $15 to $22 a plug its a wonderful thing to be able to turn your own. Nothing like wood and doing the work yourself.Years ago I made plugs, for my arsenal and gave many to other fisherman. These plugs are still in use. What a joy to catch fish on the home made stuff. You have inspired me, I may have to start up again. Way to Go !!!!! t^
