A unsettled week with mainly cautious water conditions. Monday will have chances of showers, followed by Thursday Night showers and all day Friday showers. Tuesday and Wednesday look to be mostly dry. Temperatures will be above average for most of the week with 70’s and 80’s through midweek before dropping into the 70’s then 60’s for Thursday and Friday. Overnight lows will be in the 50’s and 60’s most of the week with some 40’s for northern areas on Friday. Humidity will be moderate to high most of the week. Winds will not be so bad this week, except for Monday and Tuesday, but high seas will continue most of the week. Water conditions will be good for rivers and bays all week, except on Tuesday for the Raritan. Inshore ocean waters will be cautious all week, except Thursday. Offshore waters will be cautious all week except for early on Thursday. Surf and beach conditions will be mixed good to cautious all week with surf heights to 5 feet possible. Water temperatures are still in the 60’s with offshore waters in the upper 60’s. Surf temperatures are still in the mid 60’s. This week certainly won’t change them much. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 1-5/15.

High pressure will remain centered off the Mid Atlantic coast through the middle of the week. A weak cold front though from the northwest is forecast to drop into New York State and New England tonight before lifting back to the north Monday night. Another cold front is expected to arrive late in the week, passing through our region as low pressure rides along it. The system is anticipated to move out to sea over the weekend.

Showers are possible on Saturday, clearing for Saturday Night and Sunday. Highs will be in the 60’s with 40’s and 50’s overnight. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious.

Hurricane Nicole is finally out to sea and off to the northeast. There is an area of invest off the Southeast Coast that is being watched for development.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
