Point Pleasant Canal 6/28
« on: June 28, 2008, 01:05:27 PM »
Hit the Point Pleasant Canal this morning about 5AM. I was met by a barrage of boat traffic, was hoping it would be light because they are forcasting thunderstorms this afternoon, but the out of towners are out in force, LMAO.

I got one small striper, about 18 inches right away, but the fishing died right there. Fished till 7:30 without another hit. Same tide as yesterday, incoming/slack/outgoing, only an hour later. I caught the fish the same way, casting parallel to the wall and jigging the Fin-S back to me. Water is clear, weed and cabbage a bit more than minimal, boat traffic horrendus. I may give it a try this evening depending on the weather, and what boaters do because of it.

Great effort Garry. The weekend boat traffic is horrendous.
