Well Joey met us at the ramp right about 9 a.m. He hopped on the boat with us and gave me a few lessons on throwing the cast net. Joey put so many peanuts in the live well for me that even with the pump running all the time they didn't live very long. Just way too many for my small live well. Anyway I tried to convince Joey to come out with us for a while but he had another obligation to take care of. Wish ya would of came out for at least an hour Joey. Maybe next time. Well Joey hooked me up with the bait and I shared some with a couple of friends out on the water. Only problem we had is we couldn't catch many fish today. Tried alot of spots but it just wasn't happening. Caught about a half dozen flatties of which only one was a keeper. Ran into a school of blues crashing the peanuts right at the ammo pier and had a blast with them. All in all great day on the water. Thanks again Joey G for helping us out. My friends coudn't believe that you went thru all that for us after just meeting a week or so ago. That's what I love about fishing. The people are great. Well except for the security nazi at the marina...LMAO...Hope everyone had a good day today. I'm probable done fishing for a while until the Stripers return.
