R.I.P. Capt Vic.... 4-10-08

It was one year ago today 4-10-08 that some of us here lost a good friend... Young... full of energy..... a father..... and one HELL OF A FISHERMAN.....

Its been a year and i still havent removed his number from my cell phone hoping one day it will ring.....  :'(

Lotta prayers today for you my friend...... You would be so pumped with the bass bite starting so early..... Everyone i know, that knew you misses you ALOT.....

REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND JUNITO...... And taking a line from Gladiator The Movie.......... WE WILL MEET AGAIN..BUT NOT YET.... NOT YET.......


As a side note, and i hope the powers to be don't mind this one time, for those who knew him and actually care there is a post up on another board with info about a benfit dinner for Victor..... if ya can buy a ticket PLEASE DO SO, weather you can make it or not.....

Very Sad.. Very Sad.. I have thought about him.. Knowing one year was drawing near..

I brought that info Over Tom..

The following info was sent to me by Victor's cousin Orlando and i believe it has been posted by Luna Sea on another site...

Those of you who have been around here for at least a year, know that last April 10th (2008) we lost one hell of a Capt / Fisherman / Good friend / just an all around good guy, at the young age of 23..... Vic was fun to be around and NEVER pulled any punches..... What a tremendous loss for the fishing community...... I think about him often and will NEVER forget him....

On Saturday May 16th Victors family is making one last push to raise some money to establish a memorial in his name.... the money i believe will be used to put his ashes to rest out in the Atlantic which was the only place he wanted to be both day and night (his True Love)......I believe this will be either through reef balls or some kind of reef sinking........

Well I along with others will be attending so if anyone is looking for a night out with Good food and dancing amoungst friends and for a good cause for a great person and family, please contact Victors cousin and or sister who's emails are listed below...... Thanx for reading..... And Continued Rest in Peace Junito..

$50 in advance per person No tickets will be sold at the door.

Entrance requires ticket
Donations will go towards a NJ memorial reef that will be named after him.

Tom thanks for posting this !

I cannot even tell you how much I miss Victor.

Victor was a good friend of mine as well.

We spoke on a daily Basis.

Knowing how much Victor liked Striped Bass fishing I released many Stripers in Memory of Victor yesterday afternoon.

Vic RIP my brotha !!

PS I will be there on May 16th
