Title: Barnegat Bay 7/22

 Fished between BI and BB 6:00 am till 10:00. No wind no drift. Very slow jigging. Finally a keeper!! 18.5 inches. Plenty of shorts. Lost count after 10. Caught on a variety of baits. Squid, spearing, gulp pink cut bait and white mullet.  slt

Nice report, THANKS!  Is mother nature going to cooperate any time soon??  can't win...too much wind with rough seas or no wind!?!?

Good report, and at least you got a keeper, it's tough with the new size minimum and the south winds lately.

 Through trial and error. ( mostly error) I have to do a very slow jig. Hit bottom raise tip of pole 2-3 foot back down again slow. That seems to produce the best results. With good drift or not.
This probably isnt new to you guys. More aggressive hits also. Guess they think their meal is trying to get away. chrz
