Title: Maiden voyage
Post by: SandsharkTrident on July 06, 2016, 04:47:01 PM
I finally made my maiden voyage over the weekend and was welcome by stiffer winds then expected. I decided to put in aside of Sissy's at the Atlantic Harbor Marina so I could fish inside the breakwall. I'm new to SW kayak fishing so I rather play it safe until I get more experience.I don't want to become a statistic. I did manage 4 short fluke. Headed back into the teeth of the wind and got back okay. I was happy I didn't dump it.I even got some help from some party boat guys putting my kayak back on my SUV.Thanks guys. I'm from PA so hopefully I can get out again.

That is terrific, safe then SORRY, another good safe place is over by the Spy House, Belford. i am going out on saturday but i am going to sandy hook. if you are new and a little unsure it is better you stay close before venturing into tougher waters.

drop me a line and we can talk i have a friend from dingmans ferry we go every other week.
