One for the Ladies
« on: April 02, 2011, 11:16:47 AM »
My buddy asked me to build a pink fluke/schoollie striper rod for his girlfriend.. Used a Mudhole CRB  blank.. made the grips with light blue eva I got from billy V at a NERBs gathering on Staten Island last week.. Also picked up a tip there that made the application of the Abalone a breeze..without the risk of burning down the rod with a heatgun.. soaking the vaneers for 3 days in white vinegar makes it so pliable I was even able to inlay it over the metal butcapp for a pretty cool look..

Great job Mark. I'd like to learn how to build rods. Just have to find the time between all the nothing that I do now.  TT^

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
