I picked up a dozen bloods tonight.  I'm going to try and get over there early tomorrow morning for a bit.  If anyone wants to go, give me a shout! ;D

Ok, I got over there for about an hour this morning.  As I was getting there a guy was walking off with what looked to be a 5 or 6 lb. weakfish.  I was told it was in fact a spotted sea trout, which is a fish that is not all that common in our area.  Another guy there told me they have been in the creek for the past 2 or 3 years now.  Pretty cool!  t^

Another guy caught a short striper while I was there and I was told another short was caught before I arrived.

All three fish were on jigs.

No flounder caught by the time I left.  The guy next to me was shucking a half a bushell of clams and throwing the shells over for chum, but no one had a bite.  I had the same pieces of worm on for the whole time and they went untouched.  That was enough for me.  I don't have the patience to stare at a rod tip that long.  Should have brought my jigs! ;D

May stop by there later, if I get a chance.

-Bob

Mike,

I may have some time to go early Tuesday or Thursday next week. I know it's the middle of the week, but if you can sneak away from work, I can probably meet you guys there. ;D

Let me know.

Got over there and fished for just under an hour today.  Caught a nice spotted sea trout which went over 6 lbs.
Nice to finally get out and throw a little. ;D

That one was really me Paul. ;)

She just turned three this January, so I'm going to try to help her to catch her first fish this year.  She's been out with me a few times last year.  She's actually a pretty good caster. t^   But at two, she just didn't have the patience to really fish.  But she just loved the casting and reeling part (which is okay by me). ;D

I'm going to buy her a Cinderella fishing rod.  And when the weather gets warm, I'm going to get some worms and take her to the lake for some sunnies.  Even if she doesn't catch a thing I'm sure we'll still have fun!

Cute daughter!  TT^

I agree!  Thanks! ;D

Bob, My Daughter loved Fishing at that age too and she would even stick her thump right in the mouth of any largemouth or sunny to pose for the pics! last fall we took her out for sea bass and she wanted nothing to do with her hand touching a sea bass....go figure 5hrug

Here's a couple pics of the guys fishing off the Rt. 9 bridge on Monday.  It was really cold and windy!  BRRRRRRRR!

Saw a couple of short flounder caught.  I threw a jig for about 20 minutes without a bite before retreating to my nice warm car. ;D
