Last year used the Phillips knot/False bimini knot but found this one and like how it's end result appears to be sleeker for the rod guides. Quoted to be stronger so I'll be giving it some try outs.

My Biggest issue.. is remembering them.. that's why I always hand them to off to the tie guys.. Joe Kenny Bob And Greg ;D If I didn't have one of them with me on a trip. I'd be F*cked ;D

I've been tying it this way. And I've posted this up before. But, your video seems a little easier. I will give your method a try. t^

Yea Bob I have been trying to tie this knot the way it's shown in the video Mike posted. Using some old 25 lb mono I have around.... Seems to tight right but when I put it to the test in the vice the mono slides/ pulls out. pawle

I have found this knot works better with heavier leader. At least 30 and even better with 40 and up. For lighter leader I still like the Red Phillips best.

Thanks Mike t^

Think I got it t^

Interesting. I might even be able to tie that one. Does anyone have any experience with thicker sizes say 80# braid and 100# mono?
-
I'll give it a shot and tie it up along with the Albright. Will see which one I can tie easier and better with wet slippery hands in five foot seas in 15 degree weather.
FROM THE COUCH NEXT TO THE FIREPLACE WITH A CLASS OF SCOTCH !!!!!!!! Brr its cold. t^

Damn AJ, I was going to ask what the heck you were doing out in that nasty stuff. cfzd
Then I got to the end of your post. ;D

Yea I'm still practicing this knot, I tie a few good ones like Bucktail says seems to work better with heavier mono, putting faith in the knot is another issue....... pawle I think I'll be sticking to the Albright t^

If you want a knot to reel through the guides, the levelwind or onto your spinning reel, this is the one to use.

I tried the knot you are talking about several times with 40# FC and braid, for me it just didn't work. I much prefer the Alberto knot,it's just as tight of a knot so it will crank threw the guides easily, and it isn't going to break. Also extremely easy to tie,It should be in the Knots for Dummies book. ;D
