2013 Tuna Trip for site members
« on: May 16, 2013, 05:46:54 PM »
Trying to generate enough interest and commitment for a tuna trip this year to either the canyons or mudhole area(Inshore) Trip could be for 12 or we could go to 25 or more depending on which boat we select. Would like to get enough responses by June 1st as I'd like to book something for August if possible.

If it's mimi iv, I can swing the inshore mudhole trip any time of the week. If it's another boat, I need the rates.

Will all come down to how many would sign up and commit to going.

I would need the boat info prior to any final commitment. Don't want the slowest boat in the fleet. Oh my god, I'm now having flashbacks of two prior NJSWF trips
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Thought I'd give it a shot to put people together and meet up doing something we all like to do. Worse case scenario, it could turn into a six or 12 pack trip

grtn If there is a open spot and enough notice I would love to go. If its just for the best of the best, then I'd have to skip it. No one is more of a rookie to Tuna fishing then me.  :-\ The closest I have come to it is opening a can of Starkist while watching Wicked Tuna on TV.  rofla  ;D BUT I am a quick learner if it's at all possible.  msfsh

I can do just about any day as long as I have enough notice and have no business work planned on the day.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I have reached out to a sponsor boat FinOminal from the site and waiting for a call back. Trip for 10 anglers would run $430, 12 would be $375. 50 foot boat, boat does 30 knots so the speed is there. Thoughts?

I'm also putting together a Bluefin trip out of PP on 8/17 for a six pack trip. 5 anglers is $325, 6 is $270. Send me a PM if interested on this one.

Just talked to him and he told me about the boat situation..surprised to hear about the other boat acquisition as I've fished on it in the past. Looking like we'll go with 10 at the most from a comfort standpoint, which seems to be @ the number who want to go. Next step is the date ...looking at 9/14 or 9/21....let's get this together.
