Angela Rose Charters hosted the Brad Bergen Charter for a Monday night Happy Hour Trip. Joining our multi-repeat customer, Brad, was his little nephew Alex. This was Alex's first time on a fishing boat and first time fishing. The winds were light and variable and seas were glass. I decided to run the Angela Rose II outside the inlet and fish in the Bayhead area. Once we set our first drift, Alex received a heavy load of information which he put to use almost immediately. He landed his first fish (short) and then his next fish at 18 inches and in the bucket he went. We stuck it out in Bayhead with a consistent catch of fish. Only 3 made way to the chambers and another 20 or so were set free.
