Irish Ayes 6/16 & 6/17 trips
« on: June 18, 2013, 02:39:45 PM »
After Saturday's half decent day of catching I gathered crews together for Sunday and Monday.

Started both days fishing the same area we had them Saturday. Different day, different crew, different weather conditions, different results.

Sunday and Monday were both busts with Sunday having only two keeper fluke, a blue fish and a ling. Monday was only slightly better with four keeper fluke and a sea bass on the box.

Tried spros with gulp and dragging many different baits. Couldn't find the magic formula. Also moved around to quite a few different spots both days but just couldn't get it together.

After the fluke letdown and while working our way back home we did come across some bunker and offered them up to the striped bass. Well, same story, no one interested in inhaling our offerings, but we did have a couple of short run offs with no hook ups.

Looks like I'm done for the week. The weather is falling apart and I have some work around the house to get done prior to my trip next week to the Bahamas.

Enjoy the fishing here while I'm roasting on the white sandy beaches down south.  TT^
