Title: Adding to your arsenal??
Post by: BigAl13 on February 13, 2017, 05:39:55 AM
Anyone have plans for new gear this year  fcp (of course we do).

I plan on having our very own Wreckfish build me another all purpose rod. You know that one stick you have that you just cant seem to leave home. Probably a rod geeks blank, cork handles and whatever fill decides I need  :headscra:

Im primarily and Avet guy but Im thinking about going with something different this year (any recommendations)? Needs to be left hand retrieve.

F the cork and F the Avet. Go with a low profile reel like a Lexa 300 or similar.

I have two Lexa 300s, great reel. Just picked up the Maxell Hybrid 25. Used it on my last tog trip, sweet little, light weight reel.  t^

The Maxel reel looked nice. It was small and powerful,  Lexas are nice too.   slt
Penn Fathoms are nice too

Been thinking about a LH Seigler Reel. They used to be Truth Reels, who used to be Release Reels. Same people, name changes due to "Tradname Infringement" lawsuits. Made in the USA, and they make LEFTIES. clp
