Title: Jigging outside of Barnegat Inlet
Post by: Bobby Wilds on November 20, 2009, 08:54:40 AM
Supposed to be going out tomorrow morning with a buddy to jig some bass.  heading out of BI.  I have read reports of bass/blues being cooperative so far this week.  anyone been outside of Barnegat and had any reports?  seems everyone is north.  anything would be helpful. thanks in advance.

well, ended up leaving the dock around 0600 or so.  across the bay and out past ole barny. massive fleet north off of the bathing beaches.  made our way north and got a few bumps on the first drop.  decided to head a little further north.  as soon as we stopped fish on the surface and then down they went. scored a couple bass then made another move. every time we stopped we would land at least one.  drifted from 19-40' of water.  boxed 2 keepers at 36 and 30.  turned all the rest back, including fish over 28'.  pretty good day for a few hours in the morning.
