Tilt and oil gauges
« on: October 23, 2008, 02:05:41 PM »
Had problem with my oil and trim gauge not working. Have been taxing my brain trying to figure it out. Trim cam was broken replaced still no good. Started checking the wires. One wire for low oil alarm was disconnected. When I hooked it up and put key on alarm sounds. Came across this web sight http://www.yamahaoutboardparts.com/search.php?searchid=152214
Posted about my problem. They solved it quick. The 2 connectors coming from the consule were never hooked up! Hooked them up and everything working now. This is a 2003 yamaha 150.
Now I am wondering why it was this way. Looking at the wire diagram they only go to the gauges.
Anyone has a Yamaha problem try that sight.

Thanks Frank. I will be sure to book mark that site as I do have a Yammie. So far, no issues with it. I have over 400 hours on it and it's only in it's second year of use.  TT^
