Title: TnT Crab Bash... 9-17-12

Hit the crab grounds wit Col, Ant, and my brother John.... left the dock at 0715 heading for the back of the Shrewsbury River.... dropped anchor on the incoming tide in 4.9 ft of water and it was game on... filled the 70 qt cooler with 126 sweet meat NJ Crabs and was headin for the dock and steam pot just before noon..... Chicken Thighs did the trick as it was 2-3 crabs on the drop lines at once, not all being keepers but it was a blast.... Cant beat the crabbing now so go get them....

Nice haul,nothing like a pot of steamed crabs and some cold ones

Great Job TNT!!!   Is there any boat ramps near that area?  My kids have been wanting to try crabbing and I havent gone for a long time in seaside but I would like to try the RedBank area.

not sure in the Shrewsbury... sure there are some small ones somewhere but i dont know of them... ya can always drop in atl highlands and take the ride up... just be sure to time it so you are actually crabbing during the incoming tide.....

Chris's River Plaza Marina W.Front street Middle Town. west side of Hubbards Bridge other side is Red Bank. $20 to launch warning keep track of tides and clearance under the bridges, Call for that, This will put you on top of the Crabs. Bill
