I found this wonderful place while googling for surf fishing tips. My parents live in a retirement community in Tom's River, and I wanted info on Seaside, ISBP, and A.C. fishing. In fact Catfish Hunter was the first to welcome me and offer pointers! (TY CH!)
I got back into fishing last spring now that my daughter is a little older (12 going on 17yo!). I live in Queens NY and fish mostly Long Beach, NY(well I haven't caught a striper yet). Still getting my gear together, and trying to learn as much as possible! I'm a peace officer working out of the NYS Supreme Court in Felony Arraignments. Hope to meet you guys on the beach soon!

I belong to quite a few saltwater fishing/ kayak fishing forums. I really like them this time of the year cause they help with cabin fever. During fishing season I like them to post fishing reports or see fishing reports by other anglers. Anyway there was an ad on facebook for the NJ Saltwater site and decided to check it out. Thats my story. TT^

I was just looking for a NJ saltwater fishing site with a forum and classified ads. The site looks active friendly. I'm not new to boats but I have done mostly freshwater fishing and cruising in the bay and offshore. But I just finished restoring a 1972 -22' Mako CC and I'm ready to get more serious. I also buy and sell all kinds of boats and boat parts, renovate good boats, just as a side hobby to help pay for my boating addiction. Hi. I found NJSWF looking for a fishing report for Manasquan Inlet/Point Pleasant for this past wk. June 25th, 2012. I'm an avid freshwater and saltwater fishing lady and have been for yrs. Love the sport. Want to do some flounder fishing and wondering if anyone knows which headboats are best in this vicinity. I was down a few wks. ago and fished the inlet but, caught a lot of seaweed from the seawall, a couple of junk fish and 3 shortie flounder. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone about what's the best thing to do here. I'd like to head down again this upcoming week. Thanx.
I was looking on google for a NJ salt water fishing forum and after reading a few threads on here I was instantly hooked

I met you last year, my friend Al bought the stingercraft on the same dock as you. Was giving him some docking lessons (that has got to be the toughest spot to learn at too.) boy that tide rips through there.
Class act you are, gave his son a bunch of spearing freshly cast netted.
I will more than likely fish up there with him a bunch this season, glad your boat did all right in the storm.
Found it on google tonight after buying a new boat at the boat show. I am eager to learn all I can about fishing and boating.

Hello All, I found NJSWF while looking online for a local NJ fishing magazine that I could subscribe to. There are many to download or just read online but I haven't found one I can have delivered. Our family has a summer bungalow in Lake Como, NJ but I don't live in the area anymore. I get down there about 3 times a year, mainly in early spring and late fall. Just got back into surf fishing after about 30 yrs. and was looking for advice. It's not at all like riding a bike. Dismal luck this fall (2013) with the stripers. Just looking to learn. Never too old. All the best...
