With the crew aboard, the names have been changed, (some loving and some, well...) ;D but the faces remain the same. I will let the wreckfish give you the report. I will say that I apologize that our generator took a time out on us and we were unable to get the part until tomorrow. On behalf of everyone at Down Deep, it was our pleasure and thank you for allowing us to host this event for the members here. Captain Rob and Anthony were more than thankful for your generosity. We hope you guys had a good trip. It was great to meet everyone and look forward to meeting many more of the great members of this site.

We held our annual NJSWF Tog trip today aboard the Down Deep out of Keyport. With Capt Rob at the helm and Anthony working deck we shoved off at 0600 hours. Air temp was in the 40’s and the NW wind was not as high as they predicted. After a quick ride out to the Rattlesnake area anchors were drop and fishing commenced. The bite was not as hot as it was yesterday, but the fishing was good. Fishin Dude had the hot hand in the beginning hooking fish after fish after fish. Not all keepers, but he was hooking them. Keepers were picked here and there along with shorts. We made a run into the SH Reef and picked some more. Rick had a flurry of keepers at the end. All in all, we ended the day with 20 keepers to 5Lbs, lots of short, a couple of Seabass, one skate and one silver eel. The Down Deep is a nice boat, fast and comfortable. Anthony was great helping with the snags, tying new rigs on and filleting our catch at the end of the day. I sure other guys can add to this. Thanks again Capt Rob and Anthony. Thanks to Big Al for doing all the inital leg work and as always thanks to the NJSWF crew. It's always a great day when we can fish together. Phil

Another fine day on the water with the NJSWF crew. Always loads of laffs and ball busting. clp clp
Thanks Phil and Al for putting this together, great job. Congrats Phil on the pool fish. I should have had Anthony put another zip tie on mine to gain the extra two ounces. TT^
Also, a good job by Captain Rob and Mate Anthony. We certainly kept Anthony busy all day with the snags and rigging. Tired me out just watching him retieing everyone. (Or was it the 3am wake up that had me tired thud)

It was great to see everyone again. Thanks Al & Phil for setting it up. Thank you to Capt. Rob and mate Anthony for working hard for us. The fish could have joined the party in larger numbers, but we all went home with dinner. Our Charter Crasher chose to sit in the cabin all day and not to fish with us 5hrug I personally would have made the best of it,made some new friends and caught some fish. You can lead a man to water but you can't make him fish. Finally, Pork Roll Rules!

Thanks to all who put this trip together. Thanks to our Capt. and Anthony for the hard work. It was a fun day on the water. Being sandwiched between Joe and Eddie made for a lot of laughs... mostly at my poor swing to hook up ratio.
