Peggy Lee early afternoon report 6/16
« on: June 16, 2008, 06:09:04 PM »
Made a quick solo run today (since I did not get out yesterday)2:30 pm.Incoming water, SE wind.Increasing with threat of thunder storm.
Outside the Marina 1/2 mile and the screen loads up with signs of Bait.Try cast net:Gots
Try sangging: landed a few bunker, sent them back in only to come up tailess.Chunked a dead stick and through a cast master on the spinning. Two quick cocktail blues.Kept one.Moved further south east 25-28 ft of water ,fished a bucktail with a strip. ONE Keeper fluke.Wow this is fast, could be good afternoon.
Made three or four more drifts:Gots.
Past FinItalia on the way and said hello.Wanted to pass my bait and info to him but I quess he did not see me turn around towards his boat.
Pulled in 4pm,cleaned up drove home, combed hair just in time to greet wifey coming home from work.Having fillets for dinner.Good Luck out there.                       AJ.

nice report, always good to sneak out there before the storms and get a keeper fluke  t^
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Didn't see you turn around, but thanks anyway.  I ended up ripping my cast net on a snag in the marina.  Fished shrewsberry for nothing at all.  Stripped up left over bunker for good fluke action on the way in near the bug light, but no keepers.  See ya next time AJ!  Mike
