Atlantic City In-Water Power Boat Show - Sept. 6-9
« on: September 05, 2007, 10:52:57 PM »
Hi All,

FYI ...

Step aboard the newest, never-before-seen models for 2008. Then cruise for buys at the Atlantic City In-Water Boat Show, the region's largest and the first of the fall season. With 400 boats in the water and another 300 boats on land, the show offers the chance to see the hottest sport and motor yachts, sports fishing yachts and performance boats ranging in size from 18 to 85 feet in length. It's all at Farley State Marina, adjacent to Trump Marina Hotel Casino, September 6-9.

The Atlantic City show is second only to Fort Lauderdale as the largest U.S. in-water power boat show and is a member of the prestigious International Federation of Boat Show Organizers. IFBSO is known as "the world's leading boat shows" and has limited, exclusive membership.

In its 23rd year, the show offers all the fun and excitement of an energetic town. In fact, visitors should think about spending a weekend by the sea, soaking up the variety of entertainment -- from big-name stars to glamorous restaurants and bars

Thanks,

Capt. Ed

Hi All,

Went yesterday. In short, the crowds were light. There was nothing really special to look at. More narrow beam center consoles that are overpowered. The new 29' World Cat was nice.

Got to speak to some people that I have not seen in a while. Capt. Bob Figular (Mariner's School) has a new online Master's and Towing online course (the only one in the country - very cool).

The wind was wicked. Nice day to walk around with a drink in your hand and enjoy boating.

One thing. Someone tell some of these brain surgeon salesman that putting signs on boats that say ...

"ONLY $4,298.00 per month for 20 years"

is not an effective sales tactic.

There were many sales people doing nothing. That is always a sign of a very soft market ... many of the boats are ridiculously priced. More on that another time!

Have fun,

Capt. Ed

Capt. Ed, those cats were really nice!

Wind was just as wicked today but felt great being on land.

Crowdwd today too... One fella traveling against the crowd mumbled something about feeling like a salmon going against the current. ;D

Carolina boats....very nice

The 43' Egg harbor....vry nice

The Albemarle 43' Express looked to be the best all around t^

Bartender makes a mean Jack and Coke ;D

still no 30' class from Parker

Great Day TT^

Another thing I noticed about those boats with the price per month adverts ranging from $1500-$5000/month- NO ROD HOLDERS...  lol

The 53' Buddy Davis was my favorite.
