Recently moved to the Silver Bay area, house is right on a lagoon that runs parallel to the bay. My 10 year old son has been out there casting religiously every day, but no sniffs, touches, or signs of life.
Ran home yesterday to see the kids after school and son informs me that he saw a swirl out back. Grab the rods out of the car, cast a 5" soft plastic mullet.....Bang cfzd Fish comes up short on it. Grab another rod with a small Yo-Zuri plug......fish on t^ Few minutes later hooked up again hand the rod to my 7 yr old daughter....her first striper ;D It starts downpouring kids run inside. My son is all bummed out rgmn(still hasn't caught one) and my daughter is busting his chops rofla The rain slows down he runs out.....hooked up within 2 minutes, his first Striper ever! All small 12-15" fish, but great to see the kids land their first ones ever.

Hey Section32,
It sounds like you are talking about Snug Harbor. If so I used to live at 1947 Pinta Ct. for a number of years. Fishing was pretty good as we were the second lagoon from the bay. We caught many a fish in the back yard but never any stripers, that's awesome!
Happy Catching
