Thats sad.....i went thru the ice on the Delaware River as a kid in February....still hants me every now and then....i was about 12 yrs old and fell off a concrete swimming pier on the down current side where ice was about 2 inches thick in about 7 ft of water. Good thing no current or i would have been swept away....i popped right back up thru the hole and an adult fisherman got me back up the iced up metal ladder and drove me home....thank god for that adult or i wouldnt be around....i did bring home that pickeral that i caught tho!
Prayers to these kids and their families!

Scary stuff. When I was 11 on new years eve my brother, my friend, and I went running around on the "frozen creeks" only the werent as frozen as we thought. While jumping across the one creek my brother had lost his shoe in the mud, so I jumped back over to get it. While digging around trying to find his shoe I didnt realize I was sinking,Well long story short be time the went to get help and got back I was up to my chest in the mud. Tide was coming in, I though it was over. Some one was watching because as the tide came up and water got in the hole I was able to wiggle out and get to the trail. Watched the ball drop in the ER getting treated for hypothermia.

Wow, glad you are still with us Mr. Limpett.

Very sad story from up north. I think back to some of the things I did as a teenager and wonder , how the hell I'm still alive.

Hello all
I live in Budd lake and i watched from my house the boat going back and fourth searching for the two boys, it was a little bit of relief when they found Nick, The other boy Clyde still was missing and his Father sat by the lake waiting every moment. the ice was not complete over the lake the center part and the part around route 46 was still open, If you wish to help there is a facebook page where people are donating money to the family to help cover the burial of these two great kids.

This is a tragedy for all. god bless them. and look after them.

so sad. It's bad enough when an older adult gets it. But when it's someone whose life hasn't even started.. well.
