Title: Irish Ayes Fluking July 6th
Post by: Kenny on July 06, 2012, 09:21:46 PM
Got a pm from Bucktail yesterday afternoon to see if I wanted to hop on the Irish Ayes today for some fluking…I have yet to get out for the tasty flat ones this year with work being busy and my Son’s crazy baseball tournament schedule ( one game Sat and a double header on Sun )  Got caught up with my work, got the green light from the Wife and decided to call it an early week and  play hooky today…Glad I did…

Today’s crew was Joe Bob Dennis and myself....post time was 8am...  Loved sleeping in… loaded up and chucked the ropes and headed out into the dihydrogen oxide ( inside Joke..  Bob will explain )... to where Joe had em good yesterday….I think Joe said they had over 153 on thurs with a good number of keeps in the mix…

For us today it was great life right out of the gate and remained steady throughout the day with about a 6-1 keeper ratio…Keeps were in the 4-6 pound range…nice fat fish…Gulp was the preferred offering…

Joe had the hot hand today and drew first blood decking the dollar fish and continued on to box up a very early limit…Radio Check … (Bob will also explain that later )  Bob cashed in on our $5 dollar pool with a nice fat 22 incher… while  Dennis and I  brought up the rear doing our best to add some weight to the box… Finally tally for the day was 88 fish caught with 14 going in the box!!

A nice day to be on the water…a tad hot but that east breeze made it really quite comfortable …

Being my first trip on the Ayes… Joe went out of his way to made me feel right at home…he even brought out a chair for me… thud yes I said chair Rod…Bob thinks I should make it my new avatar… Also…Lost my lucky NJsalt hat on reposition but Joe swung around and Bob fished it out with the net…thanks guys  t^

Great crew today, tons of laughs and a very solid day of fluking by my standards…

Thanks again for the invite Joe,  I had a blast  ;D

That clicker came in handy the past two days Eddie. Had 153 clicks on it yesterday. Only 14 kept out of them.  cfzd

Glad that you were able to make it today Kenny. As you said, steady action all day and some nice boxers.

Solid crew with solid action. Can't wait to do it again.  slt

Oh...nice photoshop job on that chair.  ;D

1.
Loved sleeping in… loaded up and chucked the ropes and headed out into the dihydrogen oxide ( inside Joke..  Bob will explain )

They will have to figure that one out themselves.   But, it seems the ocean and (at least) most of the bay is now full of it.  If you would like to find out more about dihydrogen monoxide and it's environmental impact on the earth and human beings CLICK HERE! (http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html)

2.
…Keeps were in the 4-6 pound range…

More like 3-4 pound range. nts  And from now on all of your fishing reports will be viewed as suspect.  smk  ;D

3.
Joe had the hot hand today and drew first blood decking the dollar fish and continued on to box up a very early limit…Radio Check … (Bob will also explain that later)

OK.  So what am I?  Your Press Secretary? 5hrug  Anyway, if you want to brag about your fishing prowess, just call for a radio check.  When someone responds you can use that opportunity to let the world know you got your limit and you're heading to the barn early.  At least that's what someone did today.  ;D

4.
whs,,has to be photoshopped ;D

Not photoshopped.  And what the heck are lawn chairs doing on a fishing boat?! rgmn   ;D

5. Great day with a great crew.  (Even though Kenny decided to throw that nice ling I caught to the gulls at the dock).  fcp

Nice fishing with you today Kenny.  Thanks for having me aboard Joe! t^

Nice trip guys.  TT^ Kenny's fishing reports have always been suspect to me.  chrz  cfzd Sounds like you had a great time and have as many stories to tell as keepers to filet.
