Raritan Bay Fluking 8/27
« on: August 27, 2010, 06:39:44 PM »
out of Sayreville this morning at 7 with John and Ben on board.started fishing in the back bay where we were able to pick some shorts.called Capt Carl ( Wet Dreams)who was out and spoke to him and he was fishing the vicinity of the TC Buoy and was picking some fish and had some keepers, told him be working my way out, after awhile decided to head up knowing he had a bite.we got up there and found him and now he had a 7 plus pounder in the box that he showed us.drifted in the area near him and put a keeper in the box,but really a slow pick for us that died with the tide change.made a move to the Belford Channel and picked more shorts.moved out in front of the Ammo pier and made one more long drift with nothing but shorts before making a move back in the Reach where we found a late bite off the 6 can on the Red side and John put a fat 19 incher in the box and we caught a lot just missing here but we had a steady bite, forced me to stay out a little longer than I wanted, but hate to leave a bite when your meat collection not to big.heard from Eddie (Hunter 2)who was on the way out and told him how we were doing and wished him luck.really great drift conditions all day and a beautiful day on the water.headed in around 3:30 with only the 2 keeps.  slt   Kez

Nice Kez, the steady bite just seems to keep us out longer on some days.
