Rivers were on our minds this morning as we took the Roosters out of Atlantic Highlands Marina. Tom had gotten good intel on Fluke locations during the past week. The Navesink has never paid off for us, so up the Shrewsbury we went to Can#30 where we had the place all to ourselves for awhile. Other boats would join us and leave as we stuck it out during an outgoing tide. I landed a 8” Fluke and then another that was never to be seen. No keeper Fluke for us today as we headed in early with a rough running engine. No Bluefish or Sea Robins were caught although there was bird activity the entire time. GULP! for bait.

I heard of one guy getting fish back there but that could be a Fish story. A few warm days should change things.
