8/9 -- Day Troll
« on: August 10, 2010, 06:14:49 AM »
We had a day troll yesterday with the Adam Jaffe charter and left the dock at 1am Monday morning.

We headed to the toms and worked our way south.  We put a yellowfin in the boat early and then had to work hard for them the rest of the day.  We put three in the boat and released three and then went to work on the dolphin prior to hitting the bluefin grounds.

We boated 16 dolphin to 18 pounds and then ran in to 35 fathoms.   We weren't on the troll long before picking up a nice 110-120 pound bluefin.  The fish ate a yellow/green skirted ballyhoo fished way back.

I'm about to leave for the boat but i'll try to get some pictures up when i get back tomorrow afternoon.

Sweet Can't wait to get out there.
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!
