Looking to spool my Tekota 700's with braid to troll my Maja spoons. Any suggestions on what size line and what range of weights should I carry to help get them deep?

I run an 8oz drail because I don't want to worry if it's down. you can probably run less weight, but then you wonder, if....?
40lb braid at least. nice long leader. t^
remember the source; I'm a hack.

does that rig take away from the action of the spoon and its visibility on the rod motion? I saw those a couple places but seemed to me it would run different

Nah. not with the 15' of mono. Tony did a lot of testing before we put this up..
