this I can do.  Anyway, Pete, the owner of the bait store told me that a guy came in to complain about the prices.. Pete told him to buy a cast net.. .the guys said he didn't know how to use it... Pete said, that why my price is $4.00 per live bunker.

IrishAyes, have to agree with you that the price of everything is outa sight, now that I'm retired a lot of times I'll go to the super market with the bride, with me working and her with the kids it use to be her responsibility,I just cringe at the total when she's at the register now.

I know they were getting 2.oo a piece for bunker (live)the other day.Cast net is the way to go or snag.
I am concerned they might start with a permit to cast net them and really screw us good.

thats good to know.  My life is easy when they make there way to my marina..  On the way out I don't waste for then 10 minutes with a boat load.  Lately they are scattered and deep in the AH marina, but I hear they are coming in.

When you guys cast for the bunker are you doing it from your boats or from the docks?  As a surf fisherman I am not privy to getting out to cast for bunker with a net if I am lucky I will snag one or two if they are close to the beach but that is rare.

If I had a place to cast for them I would defiantly spend the money for a net.  But with only a couple of free piers I don't think the investment right now is worth the price of admission.
