With a size limit on American Eel does that mean you can't have the smaller ones for bait? ???

Yes it does. I didn't even hear anything about the minimum size going up to 9" until you mentioned it. Going to be tricky measuring those suckers. ;D

I just looked at the shad regs.
Direct from the official release from the great State of New Jersey.
Possession limit is 6.
Under that is says:
Not more than 3 American shad in the Delaware Bay, River and tributaries.
And under that is says:
No American shad all other waters. :headscra:
So, is it 6, 3 or some other number they may want to throw out there. 5hrug nts

Perhaps the limit of 6 refers to hickory shad. And the 3/0 is for american shad.

That could be the answer Chris. Not being much into freshwater, I didn't know there were two different shads in our waters. t^
