its a 99 ford f-450 diesel 7.3 turbo 2wd 10ft mason dump 103k miles manualtrans body is in good shape comes with 9ft plow?

im looking into buying a landscaping company trying to break everything down to see wat everything is worth thanks for your help

The 7.3 brings big money!
The problems are:
Oil pans rust and you have to pull the engine to replace it. Some people will tell you that you don't. The two ways they do it is. Some will cut the cross member out to change the pan and then weld it back in. I would never do that.
Other people tell you to pull the trans and take out the motor mounts and jack the engine. Seems to me a few more wires and you can pull it out and do it right. If the pan has been replaced, it should last 5 -6 years bedore you have to do it again.

That truck should have a metal fuel tank mointed behind the rear axle. If so find out if it has been replaced in the last year. The problem with the tanks is the coating ford put in them. The coating was fine until they changed the diesel fuel in 2007. The new fuel eats the coating. if you find the problem soon all you have to do is change the tank if you can find one. If you let it go, you can ruin the lift pump and injectors.
If the tank is made of plastic, no worries.

That brings us to injectors. Any truck older then 2007 needs to have fuel treatment put in every tankfull. The new fuel does not lube the injectors and you will have to replace them.An injector job on that engine will run around $3000.00, so PUT IT IN!!!

With all that said it's a good engine and won't last long for sale.

DO NOT BUY a 6.0 unless you want to become good friends with me or your Mechanic and pay for our fishing trips.
