Hunter 2 Raritan Bay Evening trip 5-22-14

At 5pm I met Mike from work with his buddies Joe,Joe"touch of grey" ,Tommy and Cashin. Plans were to make a run for bait and chunk and be back by 9:30pm.   Friends at the marina said the troll bite was okay so we trolled stretches towards the Bunker area.  2 lines got hit imediately.
and the big blues were caught and released. Lines out again and Joe"touch of grey"  lands his first keeper Striper since Threes Company was a hit tv show. Then it was bluefish city.  The crew decided not to make the run for bait and stay on the troll.  Cashin was working his butt of unhooking blues and setting lines.  We made a few moves looking for more Stripers but the lures barely made it deep enough to find them before the blues attacked. The guys broke out the big cigars and had tired arms.  Back at the marina 9:30pm the boys went to the Blue Rock for some beverages and a few rounds of pool. After cleaning up Cashin and I joined them for a Pepsi.
