10-9-14 early Striper attempt
« on: October 09, 2014, 09:08:54 PM »
My buddy Bob asked me to take a ride and show him the ropes eeling for Stripers.  We hopped  on his new 2014 Seafox 25.6 walk around and head to the highlands bridge.  We arrived around 4 pm and drifted eels all around the bridge up and down the tide.  5hrug  nothing yet.  The waters still a bit warm.  He did catch one short on a stretch 25 in the Raritan a few days ago . We also tried a spot off the reach with no takers. Bunker are still thick in the reach.  Let's hope the sand eels show up soon.   Nice sunset on the way home. t^

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
