fishing on the Irish Ayes
« on: November 17, 2013, 09:35:25 AM »
Left the Shark River at 6:00 with Bucktail, Kevin D, Dave and capt. Joe Gogan. Headed south, fished all day with jigs. Ended up with 5 bass, 4 were legal size, with Dave's 34 lbs. being the largest. Bluefish were caught also.

Caught squid on sq. jigs and saw bluefin tuna jumping. Great day out.

It was another early morning bite which got very picky.  Always enjoyable fishing with you John.  The sight of those jumping tuna was awesome!  Wish we could have gotten tight on one.

Here's a pic of Dave with his big striper, caught on a bucktail tipped with a Gulp! eel. t^

Another good time with a great crew. Never a great flurry but enough of a bite to keep it interesting.  t^
