Capt. Paul sailed for Bluefin Tuna with the Carnig Shakarjian charter. Clearing the Inlet at 3AM we were the first to arrive on the Tuna grounds. We located the Tuna feeding on massive schools of Sand Eels and set up in a brisk wind and fast drift. 14oz & 16oz Jigs were necessary and we had our first double on within a few minutes. The bite lasted for 4 hours and it was a day the guy's will long remember as we fought 21 Bluefin and landed 11. We never got our Over fish but boxed a nice 46" Under. Of the 11 Tuna landed 7 were over 44" in length, it was very good fishing. Most of the larger fish were taken on our new "Spanko" jigs made by "the Old Man's Tackle Box" These Jigs with their Holographic finish and glow in the dark feature make them a winner. clp clp
