Barnegat Fall Bass - Phyllis Ann - Nov - 19
« on: November 19, 2011, 04:00:21 PM »
Had Dad and Brother In-law Ray out today for the "Hot South Bass Bite".

Left the dock a little late, around 8:30 AM. Broke the inlet and headed the the Million Boats off the bathing beach..

We missed the early morning bite...but there were still fish to be had.  Fished about 3 1/2 hours and had 6 bass up to 32"  Lost 2 big boys boat side fcp.

Kept one for the table,,,

All on Ava 47's Jigs.. green tail.  Not a banner day... and pretty "Stupid" fishing with so many boats.. but everyone was pretty cool today understanding the parking lot and pod of fish.

Boats from the Miss Belmar and the Cock Robin even made the trip down..

We left as the wind started picking up.. which probably was too late.. had a slow bumpy ride home..  Thank God for the Dry Cabin t^

Great report and sounds like a good day overall.  What are the seating arrangements in the dry cabin, more comfy deck chairs  ;)

Nice trip. Glad you were able to find some larger fish than have been in the surf.

Good job Rod and crew.  t^  chrz

It is nice to have a dry cabin. Good thing you can't get any stupid chairs in there. But if you could, that would be the place for them and not on deck. TT^

Rod,

I think I have the same chairs as you do. I'm thinking of getting them reupholstered, especially the arm rests. How are yours holding up?

Just look for the 300 boats.. ;D and fish anywhere within a mile of that area..

All week it has been South of Seaside.   There marks everywhere.  Bait galore..  The chatter on 68 will give you a good Idea of where the Bass are and staying away from the blues..  Today, bass were up close... big blues where a little deeper..

The only thing that could change up is the presentation.. fast jig.. slow Jig.. or an easy  bounce..

Like I said.. everyone was pretty cool.  There are so many fish out there it's not like everyone is fighting over a small school of them..

Even I could catch them. ;D
