Title: 5-23 c-bass...
Post by: Duffman on May 24, 2010, 09:46:54 AM
Had a charter with some buddies on the Cindy Sea from Brielle.  Headed NE out of Mani Inlet and hit the rough bottom, rock piles and wrecks. Not drop and reel fishing, but a nice pick through the day of c-bass, 4 cod with 1 being a keeper and few short tog.
Bounced around to different snags, some with more life than others and put together a decent catch of keepers. Seems like the water temps are a few degrees away from this fishery really breaking wide open.
Hit the beach on our ride in to see if any stripers were around. Found small bunkers schools deep and scattered. Jigged on some marks for 15 minutes w/o a touch, called it a day and headed in. Bunch of seabass fillets for the beer batter!
