hitting the suds at Ship Bottom with the Robfather tonight. hae some fresh clams and some fresh mullet. will report back later (if I catch something) ;D

You should do fine. I would go with the mullet all the way. Blues are everywhere, but, you have to fish and not dead stick. Use a circle hook and let them hook themselves. If you don't have a needle to pass it through the mullet slide the hook through the mouth and out the gills and put the tip of the hook through the skin just in front of the tail.
And hang on...

Just got back from there. threw some Ava's No luck.. felt like small snappers.. Tide was low. and there really wasn't any water. just a few holes I could find..
-
Nice try, next time... grtn

small blues biting off the tails of the mullet until dark, and then baby dogfish after......low tide. tomorrow getting a mullet rig.
-
Like I mentioned in another post. You have to set the hook close to the tails. Put the hook through the mouth and out the gills and set the point of the hook somewhere back by the tail of the mullet.

nice try gagedylan...but listen to paul's advice ;)
Rod....did you atleast plug those holes ;D rofla
-
Actually I did throw some plugs also t^
-
There is too much bait around for plugging off the surf right now. Metals is the way to go. All your fish are for the most part sticking close to the bottom. Wait till the large schools go by and the water cools down a bit.

Paul..guess both you guys missed my joke >:D
...and yes your correct. don't throw plugs just yet
-
i do it in a similar way....i pass the hook thru the eyes, and then into the tail

Good job... TT^ grtn
