Drove back home yesterday...5 hours to get there....got about a foot of snow and ice...pulled in my driveway to see this.....yes, there is a car under there somewhere

Major damage here... I measured at 11:00 last night and had 12"s of super heavy wet snow... Every minute or so you could here big branches snapping all night long...had one miss my house by 10 feet ...lot's of tree work in my future...Power out in almost the whole town of chester...I have never seen tree damage so bad in my life... JCP&L says power back on maybe by Friday

Did I mention that the weather better be nice on Fridays Bingo trip...

My friend who got hit with the tree has a broken neck, broken back and a bruise on his brain. Doc says he will never walk again. That sucks!  All he was doing was cleaning a path so kids could get down the driveway so his daughters friends could get to the house for a party.

Rewired the furnace, the hot water heater and the well pump to run off the generator...should be good till the power comes back on...

Found out today that there is no chance of him walking. His spinal cord is severed and there is nothing they can do for that.
Makes you think how fast your life can change.

I had a guy pick up a truck from JCP&L today at the shop and he was telling me that they have more wires down and people without power then what they had with Irene. He said it's going to be awhile before everyone gets power back.

And here I was just going to vent about all the snow, down trees, closed roads, and that I just got power and cable back today at the office and home.
Makes you remember that it could always be worse.
