Took a ride with my daughter and son this morning over to the Reach to give trolling a shot. SH and Raritan bays were like glass and I was able to put the boat thru its paces. With all systems go we put out two stretches around the 7 buoy and trolled the edge up to the 25. We came up with two plastic bags and two runoffs for our efforts. Marked a lot of fish and bait along the way with no takers. Water temps were 41-42 degrees once the tide started coming in. Lots of life up by 25, porpoises were chasing bait in that area. We headed back to the barn when the weather started to get bad about 11 am. I was the only boat out fishing so I can't blame boat traffic ;)
Great to be back fishing again.
