Title: Down Deep Bull - 5/29 Memorial weekend
Post by: Down Deep Fleet on May 30, 2016, 07:55:21 AM
Sunday Capt. Tom and Gene ran a custom trip east for great new returning friend Dmitry, his family and friends. Fishing and an air show for this great group of people and the weather was a real bonus. The party had a blast all day long in the comfort of the Down Deep Bull. Fishing, family, food, beverages, sunshine + an air show = another great day! Thank you for bringing the family aboard this weekend and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

As we watched the show, I couldn't help to reflect on a person who we have had the honor and pleasure to fish side by side with, who sailed aboard this boat many times with us, prior to 2010. It felt like yesterday. Julius " Chucky" Geller was a giant in life, stature, dignity and heart. Watching this man swing a double digit Fluke or Blackfish into the boat as he would say "lift em or lose em", as he did just that to our awe and amazement  :) Knowing very little about his service to this country until seeing the respect given to him by the military at his burial. The NY Times article was impressive as well. A true gentleman. So today as we celebrate with family and friends, raise a glass and thank a veteran.
