12/5 Tog in the Wind and Seas
« on: December 05, 2010, 05:18:00 PM »
Went out Togging today with Capt Chad on the "Tagging Fish" out of Highlands. Crew was Boo Boo, Matt, Brian, Dave, Chris and myself.

Got Slammed in the Bay on the way out with 5 ftrs, once we round the hook she laid down a tad.

Reached our first drop and still had 4 ft with a 6 thrown in here and there.

Had a good pick of Tog including a Cod. Made 3 drops all told for the day Had 35 Tog to 10 lbs and the Cod, probley threw back 16-18 short tog. No Mad dog bite but steady all day.

Big fish of the day was the 10 lber taken by Matt, his best ever.

Chad did great anchoring in less than favorable conditions, good Capt and good boat.

On the way in we headed right into it and got pounded by 8-9 ft seas near the tip of the hook.

Great day on the water with some great guys.

I have to thaw out with the Capt now chrz
